Initiative
We have chosen to place product development and manufacturing of our support socks in a factory in Lviv, in western Ukraine. Despite war and uncertain conditions, we at Pregsports want to do what we can so that the residents of Ukraine will continue to have an income and a part in being able to rebuild the country's welfare again.
We support UNHCR
Pregsports donates SEK 5 per pair of socks sold to the charity organization Sweden for UNHCR so that they can continue their support work in Ukraine.
The factory we collaborate with is called Loncame and has been around since 1996. All yarn and materials used in the factory are completely free of chemicals and certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is the most well-known and widespread brand in the world, therefore also the world's leading label for textiles, accessories and products that have been tested for the content of substances harmful to health. A STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification means that the product meets high human ecological requirements, i.e. does not contain chemicals in levels that are harmful to health.
Durability
For us at Pregsports, it is important to try to do the right thing, therefore we will try to use recycled and sustainable materials as much as possible. Our socks are made from bamboo, which is better for the environment than cotton. Bamboo is less harmful to the environment, because the bamboo plant does not need to be watered. In addition, the bamboo plant has a natural defense against bacteria, which allows the plant to grow without the use of dangerous chemicals. We use unbleached corrugated cardboard and recycled paper when we pack your order.
